Karen has 25+ years of counseling experience working with children (5-10 years old), preteens (11-12 years old), adolescents, as well as adults. Her practice focuses primarily on children and adolescents with only a handful of adults. Her areas of expertise include working with youth and adults with anxiety, low self-esteem, poor coping skills, mild to moderate trauma, life tansitions, and parenting challenges. She is cognitive-behaviorally based with a strength-based perspective. She has an eclectic approach to treatment, utilizing tools from a wide range of theories/modalities. She is committed to treating the whole person and not just a diagnosis or label.
